The University of Kentucky announced Tuesday that UK’s annual ‘Fan Day’ will be held on August 8, 2015 beginning at 9:00 A.M. at Nutter Field House.
It’s become one of the fun events of the year for Wildcats football, even if they’re having a mediocre season. It’s not their fault, though. They just happen to see in the SEC where the likes of Alabama, Auburn and South Carolina reside. It happens.
But it’s also a sign that football season is right around the corner, and Kentucky is expected to improve on its 5-7 record from a year ago. The schedule favors Kentucky, having eight home games. This really should be a bowl year for Kentucky. Here are three University of Kentucky football games to get excited for:
The Gamecocks are expected be in contention for an SEC championship, but they’re a completely different team than last year and a little more competitive. This should be a fun game after losing 45-38 last year to South Carolina. This one’s in Charleston this year, so it wouldn’t be that far of a drive.
Auburn is returning eight starters on defense next year, which could make them the odds-on favorite to win the SEC. If they can get an offense going, Auburn may be the team to beat in the country this year, and that’s probably a good thing.
There’s nothing ever wrong with a game between Kentucky and Tennessee. It’s always a classic when these two teams get together, and it’s bound to be even better this year.
Where do you park for such a fun event, though? Why, your friendly Lexington Hyundai dealership, of course. While you’re there, you might as well check out Glenn Hyundai’s lot and look for a new car while you’re at it, paying attention to the new 2015 Hyundai Accent MPG or the new 2015 Hyundai Sonata technology. The options are endless. Especially with that new car, you’ll be able to get to all eight of Kentucky’s home games this year.
